This economical renovation yielded an eye-catching facade for a new retail center that stands out along the busy commercial thoroughfare on Austin's north side. Asked to re-imagine the building that was formerly used as a sporting goods store, Antenora Architects devised a simple and cost-effective solution. The design team added an exterior brick wainscot and a two-story steel entry element at the front. And by painting the original metal siding with a vivid copper metallic color, the architects completed the transformation of a nondescript storefront into a striking visual landmark.
