ABOUT US

Antenora Architects - About Us

Our Firm

Antenora Architects was founded by Principal/Architect Michael Antenora in 1997. Now in their 26th year, our firm has built a national reputation for innovative design, community service, business integrity and professionalism. The firm’s guiding principle, Architecture for People, captures the firm’s focus on creating architecture and places that center on the experience of the people who use them, and are sensitive to the context and community in which they reside.

This focus has led to many repeat and long term client relationships. Noteworthy among those are Endeavor Real Estate, TXB Food Stores, Valentina's Tex Mex BBQ, Wheatsville Food Co-op, The Four Seasons Hotel Austin, The City of Hutto, The City of Kyle, The City of Elgin, University Federal Credit Unions, and the Texas Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf stores.

The firm offers services in architecture, architectural interiors, historic preservation/re-use, planning and graphics. They work in a number of project types including commercial, public/institutional, restaurant/hospitality, residential (single and multi-family), and mixed-use.

However, it is their work with adaptive re-use and restaurant/hospitality projects where Antenora Architects has been recognized as a design innovator and thought leader.  Their work has been recognized with awards at the local, state and national level, and it has been published nationally and internationally.

Beyond the Cotton Gin in Hutto, a number of Antenora's local projects are iconic or very recognizable contributors to the architectural fabric of Austin and the Central Texas Region.  These projects include Penn Field, The Wheatsville Food Co-ops, Radio Coffee, Universal Federal Credit Union - Brodie Lane Branch, Zax Pints & Plates and Finley's for Men Barber Shop.
