An Austin institution for three decades, Wheatsville Food Co-op offers its members and the general public with an exclusive public-market shopping experience. Antenora Architects provided the Co-op with architectural services that resulted Wheatsville's first renovation and addition since its founding in 1976. New amenities include expanded produce display, a commercial-grade kitchen, and space for bulk and prepared foods, along with new administrative offices and conference facilities. The improvements honor Wheatsville's homegrown roots through innovative and earth-friendly design principles that earned accreditation from the City of Austin's Green Building Program.
